Hi everyone and welcome to the whiskywheels blog. What is ‘whiskywheels’? Well, it’s my intermitent thoughts on whisky (sometimes with an ‘e’) and wheels (cycling and motorsports) with occoasional musings on food, wine, music, beer or whatever else might strike me to post about. As I continue to build my knowledge and experiences with any one of these subjects, I hope to pass the wisdom on to you. I might just post a question sometimes and hope to strike up a conversation that allows you to impart your knowledge to me. I don’t want to create a preachy forum, but an exchange of views and ideas. Let’s keep it friendly. Feel free to disagree but try to keep it constructive. The topics mentioned above will be the focus but just about anything is fair game. The only off-limits subjects we’ll start with are politics and religion. I won’t be discussing them and I hope you can restrain yourself, as well. Those sort of beliefs are just too ingrained in everyone to hope that opposing views will remain civil or that anyone’s mind will be changed easily or immediately. Let’s just relax about it and simply leave them off the table. With that, I hope you enjoy the posts to come. I look forward to sharing with you!
Jill Sobule, one of the most talented singer/songwriters out there, recorded her solo show at Joe’s Pub in 2008. She released it free soon after and has once agian freed it to the masses at no charge. It’s a bit complicated, but if you click through to the individual song and right-click then ‘save as target’, you can download or burn it to whatever device you have. Trust me, you’ll love it. And yes, it’s the same Jill Sobule as the one from ‘I kissed a girl’ that Katy Perry ripped off.
There you go, enjoy!
